week 38: checking in
this week on the little dream farm
If you caught up with us in last week’s Farm Note then you know I’m away on military orders in Washington DC for a few weeks.
I told Chris yesterday it feels like I’ve been gone a whole year.
Thankfully, everything is going quite well for me, and I have another great week ahead coming up.
I’m just eager to get back home.

As for Chris back home on the farm, alls well as is to be expected.
He was extra busy with work and some other obligations this week but everyone at home on the farm, including Mr. Chris, is faring just fine.
Once I had my schedule for my time here, I asked my sister last minute if she’d like to be spontaneous and hop a flight to DC for the weekend to get to spend it together.
So she arrived Friday afternoon and will head back to Alabama this evening.
We spent the weekend walking all over creation—44,000 steps so far and we’ve still got a whole day ahead of us!
It’s been a few years since either of us have had the chance to get out and explore DC…and the last time we were here together was back when we were in college, which feels like a whole lifetime ago.
So I’m glad to report that alls well both here and at home on the farm and I am looking forward to a busy, speedy week ahead so I can get back home to my crew!
Here’s to hoping you’ve had a lovely week yourself and are spending this weekend in the way you most need.
We’ll catch you next week when we’re back to our regular song and dance.

So glad you’re getting to spend time with your sister. Enjoy DC and the extra steps!
How precious all these photos are. So heartwarming...glad your adventures are suiting you and that your love for your farm and mate sustain you wherever you go.
