How on earth could you pick? I started out thinking I like the ones with the pointy petals. Then I started staring at the rounded petals and those were the prettiest. THEN I saw all the spiky ones, and the ones that looks like balls... so yea, I like them all!

They are all amazing! I do have one question. I live in southern Indiana, Evansville actually. Would I have to dig the tubers up every Fall?

Dahlias are cold hardy only in the southernmost US so, yes, you would have to dig the tubers in the fall.

Blizzard, Sonoho Sonia and Crichton Honey are my favorites. All of the blooms are lovely and I know they will be show stoppers in your garden.

It sounds as though Dahlias sell much like Daylilies. Farmers hybridize their own varieties and they sell for hundreds of dollars for just one specimen. I haven't indulged in those. I find that dividing my current blooms keeps me with plenty of flowers. Granted, not much variety but I enjoy them. Especially the ones gifted from other gardeners. Should we ever move from our current home I have decided that I would have to take divisions of all my gifted plants with me. Can't leave them behind 😊
