Hope MollyMax gets back to feeling like her/his (!) old self soon.

I used to Hot Air Balloon. I was crew and learning how to pilot one. That was a wonderful adventurous time. I also went to a balloon festival in the Adirondacks one time and it was beautiful.

Hi there! I'm just catching up on a few weeks' worth of farm notes and read about sweet MollyMax's run-in with ticks. Poor little guy, I hope he is feeling much better! Do you have possums up that way? I am not sure how they do with extended periods of cold, but they are amazing at keeping ticks and other small pests under control. I live about 30 min south of Fort Worth in a more rural area, and we keep a healthy possum population on our property. There are downsides to their natural instincts to burrow, but the pros for outweigh the cons for us. They are nature's way of managing pests like ticks. And we are a little biased, but they are so cute and fun to watch, especially the babies! Wishing you all the best from Texas!

East Texas has a wonderful hot air balloon festival....a family tradition to get out early with our coffee and "chase" them as they take off in the farms around my family's home. Such fun!
