A couple of sentences from this week’s Farm Note stood out to me:
(1) ”I debated for a really long time as to whether or not I was even going to proceed with the Farm Note, wondering if anyone would actually want to read it.”
(2) “ I have been looking for a creative outlet for - y e a r s - to be able to share the things that I’m buying, using, loving, reading, seeing, or doing, and thinking others may love, want, or need, too. “
Own this space! Own the Farm Note! It’s yours! It’s your space to do as you wish, to express yourself, to get everything off your chest, to create, to connect. We’re along for the ride. I would offer that it might not matter if “anyone would actually want to read it” as long as you want to write it. As long as you want to write it and it brings you joy to do so, we’re here and we’ll soak it in and we’ll connect in this little tiny corner of the online universe. Writing your Farm Note is not an obligation to those of us scattered across the globe; it’s not for us. I think it’s more an exercise that helps feed your soul. It’s yours. It’s for you. And that’s ok. We’ll be here with you and for you as long as you wish for us to be.
Aaand you've got me sitting here crying in the very best way. Gosh - thank you so much for this. Truly. I'm printing it just after I type this and will be keeping it here with me at my writing desk. You've unlocked something for me that is hard to describe. Permission isn't the right word...validation isn't either. Mmm...expansion I think is what I'm looking for. Thank you for expanding my viewpoint and for cracking open my heart just a little bit more. I will treasure the gift of your words. Thank you, dear friend. 🙏
This has been a very complicated year so far, losses, changes and uncertainty, so your weekly email always give me something new to think about on Sunday mornings when I’m awake while everyone at home is still sleeping , todays email was just perfect, I’m trying to tackle my new now and be a little more positive, not about the word but about me and all the things I have done so far and the things I know I can do if I can put my insecurities aside, so thank you for your words.
Zelene thank you for sharing this with me. Feel free to email me personally at bergsteinsarah@gmail.com if you'd like to tell me more about your ideas and what you have in mind--more than happy to be a sounding board for you to bounce your ideas off of and maybe offer some encouragement, too. Things will be looking up for you because you'll make it that way. It's the surest way for it all to get better and better. 😘
Goat lotion is ordered my husband hands are so dry in the winter hope this helps. Keep going on the job front I surprise opportunities are normally the best…
Awesome - let me know what he thinks of it and thank you for supporting a local farm!! 🥰 I've got Chris using it too and said his hands have been feeling a lot better as well. In just two days my cracked sides of my fingers are feeling loads better and aren't as scratchy. My good friend calls it "the mange" hahaha! Can't have that!!
