Good morning, Sarah. I hope Miss Penny is still with us when you head to the barn.

I feel your discouragement in this mornings letter. So many dreams went into purchasing this farm. I’ve watched the success of some of those dreams. But I’m feeling some sadness. Get outside today & plant the dahlias. That will make you smile for sure!

I’m sending you a huge hug, Sarah. Have a beautiful day! 🫶🏼

She wanted another day here on the LDF so she's here with us and spending her day lounging in the shade of an elderberry bush. We spent a lot of time out planting and setting up the garden and we'll keep on carrying on as we do - thank you for your words!

You know the saying your eyes are bigger than your stomach? I think there is a bit of this in your farm note. But remember it doesn’t mean you have to stop eating. It’s okay to just be how you are for a while. ♥️

Hey Sarah. I hope by sharing your words things might feel a little lighter today. Its very brave to share when things aren't feeling as easy breezy as perhaps we'd prefer them to be. We're all here with you for the journey, whether its ups or downs or steady going. You and Chris do what you need to do to enjoy your life with your furry and feathered family and I'm sure good things will arrive. Thanks for always sharing wise words xxx

There's never been a time where we've shared something vulnerable here and I've regretted it - in fact it's always the opposite. Sharing the real stuff--both the good and bad--always leads us to deeper connection and more personal clarity, too. I am always reminded of that when we share our hearts. Thank you for this.

Sarah, your note is so deeply grabbing at my heart for you. It is so obviously apparent how you have poured your innermost being into the LDF. We have all (at least I have) watched in complete and pure amazement at what you and Chris have accomplished in 2 years, the amount of labor, keeping up with every day farm tasks, starting new ones and keeping up with careers (and changing them) on top of it ALL!! I have literally viewed you as amazingly, beautifully strong driven people. For you not to have times like this would be like those on social media who only show their "flashy" moments. They make everything in their life appear as roses. We love you for being real and we are here to listen and support. Thank you for sharing your intimate thoughts with us and entrusting us with your vulnerability. I, for one, certainly felt this note in my heart. I don't know where you stand on the Bible but I want to leave you with this. Psalm 62:8

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. ❤️😺🫏🐔🐓
